Advancing Compassion ® projects bring together volunteers having time, skills and an interest in fostering change in our communities with donated supplies and other resources in order to help innovative projects targeting our key areas of concern: improving human health, alleviating poverty, homelessness, discrimination and other forms of oppression, and helping abandoned and endangered animals and ecosystems.
Whether you can contribute time or skills as a volunteer, or help out with donated supplies or other support, every person is vital to the success of the programs and organizations needed to bring about change in our communities.
In 2011, individuals associated with Advancing Compassion Project were involved in service projects that assisted homeless youth in Southern California; collected and distributed surplus medical, dental and school supplies to humanitarian projects in Central America; and helped to improve environmental conditions affecting low-income neighborhoods within our local communities. We have also provided time and financial resources to support organizations working to address discrimination, helping to improve health and ameliorating the natural environment.
